Dr. Shetina M. Jones (She/her)

Vice President-Elect, Equity & Inclusion- ACPA College Students International
Dr. Shetina M. Jones currently serves as the University of Windsor’s Associate Vice President of Student Experience. A seasoned professional, Dr. Jones has a myriad of professional experiences that directly affect student engagement and experience. Well known for her contributions to higher education, Dr. Jones has been recognized as a 2022 ACPA Diamond Honoree, the highest honor bestowed by the international student affairs organization. Dr. Jones maintains active membership in American College Personnel Association-Educators International (ACPA), Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), and National Association for Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA).
Dr. Jones received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Eastern Michigan University. She completed her PhD at Indiana State University on high-achieving Black women at historically, Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
A point of pride for Dr. Jones is being a native of Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Jones enjoys giving back through active membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated®, Eta Iota Omega Chapter, where she serves as the President. Dr. Jones also serves Detroit Martin Luther King High School Academic Pathways Advisory Board. She additionally loves traveling and spending time with her family and traveling.
